Mario, at the end of the day it`s all down to trial and error. Is there any way that you could temporarily mount the dish and scan manually? If you have the pole can you get a foot for it from a builder/scaffolder to try. I think I understand your frustration in wanting to get the full monty from your motor set-up but some of those trees are a bit high even for the owners privacy.

            Dish location

            Mario
Have you been on dishpointer yet? If not play around on that site!
Site your dish and follow the line of site to the satellite and see what your best option for dish location is!
If your dish on the left hand side of your wall or garden (looking south) you should get most of the useful satellites from 28 east to 5 west. If you site the dish on the right hand side you will access satellites in the west but the trees will blank out most of the eastern satellites. I have the same problem here, I am surrounded by 2 storey houses on three sides (north south and west and garden shed in the east. By discreet siting of the dish in my garden I can get all satellites from 28e to 5w with a strong signal. Past these extremes the sats are too low on the horizon to get a signal. I can still get 11 satellites and 6000 channels and live footie on about 100 channels. I have no need for any more!
