    SKY Italia

Looking at the possibility of getting this in for my social club.

We have had cable till now, but that isn't an option any more.

Unfortunately we are in a bit of a catch 22 with SKY UK. We can't afford to get it, but can't afford not to with the revenue it brings in for matches.

So I have said to them that for the one off price of a grand or so for SKY Italia may be a good option.

I hve a few questions I wonder if anyone would be able to help out with.

SPL games. I know it will carry all of the Scottish games which SKY UK broadcast, will it also carry the one's shown on ESPN?

What size of dish would be required? We are on the West coast of Scotland, just down the road from Glasgow.

Any reputable dealers who could sort us out with the equipment? I

Finally, if we did go for it, would it be easy enough to set the dish up to point at Hotbird? I set a moveable system up for myself a few months back and I definately feel a lot more confident now...but with the moveable one you obviously start at your Southern Satellite, then the motor takes care of the tilt on the dish when it turns....so would I be able to point a fixed dish straight at 13E or would I need to twist/tilt it somehow?

    Any advise appreciated

If you face a dish straight at 13 east you will need to adjust the LNB, not the dish....You may as well get a 85cm dish and stick a motor on it......face it due south and find Thor 1 west as a reference satellite.....once its set up to 1 west it will move to whatever satellte your Set top box tells it to....

the official s*y it receiver is basically the same as a s*y uk one and equally as crippled, it wont move a motor, switch lnb,s ect so if you choose to have a motorised dish you will need a seperate reciever to control the dish. id say get yourself a 85/.88cm dish,0.1db lnb and fix it on hotbird. you shouldnt have any trouble as you have fitted your own motorised system. as for suppliers take a look at wizard as they are very reliable. about ?1200 all in. regards mdt
