Major problems moving from satellite to satellite is not good for any receiver, should be made better. But way round this @ more cost is to add another receiver on twin lnb to move dish.Or best way is get yourself a 36 volts reveiver.

be aware that some spiderboxes can also have issues on usals
mine does work but the motor is very hesitant.so I find the sats on usals then store that position in the command line then switched to diseqc 1.2 fine tuned in the drive step line then stored again in the same position.0.8W thor & 1W intelsat need to be given the same rotor position.
As MDT has said "gift"channel stability is also an issue but I can usually find a stable film to watch which is all I want.
Well the spiderbox works fine with usals but it tends to pause slightly at every sat between the one I'm watching and the one I sent it to,

Did you just use usals to find all the sats then switch to Disegc 1.2 scroll down to command line then store the position ?
did you do that for every sat ?
do you just leave motor on Disegc 1.2 now ?
and do you find it a lot smoother ?

Its just kind of noisy the way it stops and starts, and dont think my
        neighbour is best pleased

my spiderbox is ok, no problems with the gift nor with the movement. what motor do you have. are the connections good. I had a similar problem on a tm, was a loose f connector on the motor.

hello mate in answer to your post #18.
yeah the way I set mine up was start on usals and fine tune my longitude position to get max signal then stored that position for that sat then changed it to diseqc 1.2 and stored it in the same position.then back to usals on to the next sat and repeat when you have done all your sats leave it on diseqc 1.2 and your done.0.8W thor & 1W intelsat need to be stored in the same position.I also put a FTA H polarity channel as No:1 channel on each sat as this gives 18v to the motor and it moves faster.just leave it on that channel when you move to another sat.
you can also use the step drive function to tune the motor in.
I leave mine on 1.2 all the time and dont have any probs with it at all now.My main dish is in the back garden so noise through the brickwork is not an issue.
