sky multiroom

Does anyone know what the crack Is with sky multiroom?

When I got mine in I ran the feeds myself, got a box off eBay and rang them up for a multiroom card.

Now my brother has just rang them up to ask for a card as my dad says he can use his spare 160 sky + box, but sky are insisting that they have to send a engineer out at a cost of ?60.

I've just told him to try again tomorrow and speak to someone else....

as far as i was aware mate you just ring them and tell them you want an extra card.. My old man installed his own box and just requested the card.. nothing about a sky guy coming over

when u get multiroom they insist boxs are connected to phoneline to make sure your not giving box and card to others

i just pay my sky sub and use dreamboxs 2 share it round my house jobs a good en

dreambox only costs 50? for 500 cheaper than an engineer

thats what i done, and told him to do it... but he is soft as shit on the phone, i would have said i'm not paying ?60 a man to come and plug in a box when the feeds are already done.

Mine has never been connected to a phone line in the 10 year i've been with sky
