    another newbie sat motor help

    could some one point me in the right direction on lineing up my motor and dish using goto xx function lat 51.5414 long 0.1907 ive enterd it as 51.541 and 0.190 ive managed to get a lock on astra 19.2e fine and the motor hits it every time but it dosent hit anything else i.e no signal but as soon as i move back to astra via my openmedia box it lines up fine? tia dava

    I dont know your box I"m afraid but you should put lat of 51.5N on both the motor and in the stb and just the long of 0.2W or 0.2E (you didnt say whether you were east or west of greenwich although west should be minus) in the stb.(you can just put your long as 00.00 at this stage if you want)
    then send the motor to 1west with the receiver tuned to 11.325H 24500 BBC World once motor has stopped dish should be pointing roughly south.then slacken the motor just enough to move and move the whole dish/motor assembly L/R and just the dish up/down to tune it in.once happy with it tighten up and re-check then fine tune your longitude in the stb by changing it 0.2 at a time E/W to get max signal.using usals (go to X) all the other sats should be found automatically. there is a tutorial in the stickies to read and I"ve sent my own guide for technomates but the principal is the same for all boxes.

        spot on that all sorted now.many thanks now to find a good server somewhere
