Hi, Can you help with some basic questions? What is the "gift", What are the patches for if you have a gift, Can you turn the gift and or patch off and are all channel updates via the router.

the gift is to open channels that you can view on various satellites
to view these channels the receiver has to be connected to your router
and and the internet for the gift channels some channels can be viewed
without being connected to the computer plus if you want to use the receiver on anouther server that a lot do you can turn the gift server off and you can also turn back on if you want. the gift on a spiderbox is for 1 year the patches are to fix any problems that the servers might have and they also contain software for the receiver to keep it working at it's peak, you can load a channel list from the forums but i would recommend that you scan your own sats and chns and all updates patches softcams channel lists etc: are all loaded on the receiver with a memory stick.Please Read Carefully!
