What's the best Satellite set up?

Hi,
Just came back from my hols in Turkey and was watching lots of EPL games at 3pm. The bar I was in was using a dreambox (not sure what model) and I was watching him go through all the the dreambox menu's and finding all the 3pm kick offs on "Sky Calcio" on Hotbird 13' east. My question is what is the best system to go for fixed with multi lnb's or motorised? I also have a Panasonic TV with freesat but this also has setting for hotbird/astra1/eurobird/other sat and was wondering if this can do the job of a dreambox? Do you also need subscription cards to activate these channels in the dreambox or could I activate these channels with a cam (which one) in the can slot on the side of the TV?
Lots of questions I know but would appreciate any info. Please pm me also.
