    How to get Sky Calcio

With my Panasonic TV with freesat I've just managed to align my old Sky mini dish to Hotbird 13e and got it locked. I've scanned and I've managed to get all of hotbirds channels with just the TV (no dreambox). But what I would like to know is how to unscramble the sky calcio channels? I have no card slot on the TV but I do have the Common Interface slot on the side. Does anyone know what CI CAM module and card I would need for this or at least point me in the right direction?
    Thanks

not 100% sure but i dont think an official sky italy card will work in your tv and that or c/s are the only way to get sky italy

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.

i too have a panasonic g15 plasma, i didnt know that freesat tv's could pick up different satellites just thought it was directly for freesat. so as long as you align your dish to pick up the signal, will it work? just a shame it doesnt have the software to move the technomate motor i have installed!!!

        regards

On my Panasonic TV (TXP46G15B)with Freesat press TV/Select either freesat or other sat/Menu/Setup/Other Sat tuning menu/auto set up. From here you can tune either Astra2/Eurobird, Astra1,Hotbird and other satellites. I've just moved my old sky mini dish manually to Hotbird, got it locked and then scanned and got all the channels. I might have a go at the Astra 1 and see what I can get. It's a pain getting up and down the ladder adjusting the dish but thought I'd give it a go.I don't know weather the TV when looking for the satellite will actually move a motorised dish or not you'll just have to try. What we need is to be able to unscramble these channels. This has at least got me thinking about getting a multi lnb dish or a motorised dish and Dreambox and then look into the whole card sharing thing.
          Hope this helps

              Not correct.
LCD technology is far superior to plasma.
Just look at professional monitors used by the media industry such as Graphic Designers and visual effects houses. All LCD! See here for a 30inch ?3,000 LCD monitor.

The mass production of cheap LCD panels has resulted in crap quality TVs granted.

but the majority on this forum are not graphic designers or work in the visual effects industry and theres reasons why they use lcds rather than plasmas for that matter but i shouldve been more specific on my earlier comment so i will rephrase...

"plasmas are better than lcd/led for any kind of television!"

i will agree that the use of lcd monitors are better for graphic designers & general pc use & games due to screen resolutions but thats it. too much blur, not as fast reponse rate blah blah blah let it be told that if pioneer still made plasmas nothing would beat them.christ even last years kudos is still head and heels above any led/lcd tvs just now with only panasonic becomimg close in that respect with their plasmas. still if people want to be brain washed with lcd/led is better then go waste your money but this is my opinion

See here for a 30inch ?3,000 LCD monitor in response to this....

so if i goto a bang and olufsen shop and buy their top of the range lcd/led and pay ?10000 even though it might have a sony or samsung panel in it....it will be better....i think not! just because it is branded lacie and it costs an arm and a leg doesnt mean its better!

christ i might just buy a vu+ duo and stick a dm8000 badge on it save some money too

                regards

i did a lot of reading and visiting various suppliers of tvs before i bought a new tv and i can safely say that no tv compared to the panasonic kudos plasma that includes led lcd and projectors. The only down side of the tv i bought was the cost.
Maybe the reason graphic designers use lcd is because of the weight and size of plasma screen also they use more power and in a laptop the battery life is important.I use an apple(macbook air) laptop and the screen is very good but not in the class of my kudos

                    i wouldve bought 1 eventually......
