I am missing a few satellites. im set up on 1w, 90cm dish in the north west, think my dish is out of alignment, whats the best way to sort it? ie- take the whole dish down to check the mounting poles level, or keep it in place and tweek it. also will i have to do a reset on my reciever? many thanks

Mate unless its completely zonked (like me tonight!) dont take it down - just tweak. Actually even its zonked just start again - you may have to drill new fixings though.
Get ladders, spirit level, spanners and mate/wife/kids.
Get up said ladders and place said spirit level on the pole to which the dish is fixed. Spend time on this and adjust until the dish is 100% plumb all around the pole. Now get said mate/wife/kid to stand by tv. If you are using USALS move the dish to any sat -although normally if you are in the UK 1w is the sat of "choice". Now unbolt the dish on the pole and very very gently move the dish until you hear the scream "stable picture". Tighten (not absolutely) the bolts on the pole. Now unscrew the dish bolts. Again very very gently move the dish until you peak the signal (quality not signal). Tighten up all bolts.
You should now be sorted. Try a few sats (42e) and (30w) just to make sure. If you are pulling them in its done mate. If not get up the ladder and gently adjust.
Dont ever pay anybody mate. I did and regretted it. Take your time and you will be fine.
Mind you I am pissed but seriously mate try it yourself first.
