Is Aldi dish sattelite system any good?

    Is Aldi dish sattelite system any good?

    If purchased would I recieve just low grade foreign programmes.

    I just had a look at the 49.99. system on offer and would say that with the 45cm. dish you would pick up the sats at 28east to give you all the free to air channels available.
    You may just pick up some free to air channels on 13 east and 19 east depending on where you are.
    If you Google Lyngsat or Flysat they will tell you of the free to air channels on those sats mentioned above.
    I started out with a similar kit which had a 60cm dish and later got the same kit with an 80cm dish.
    The system offered is ok for starting out to get experience but you would need and 80cm. dish to pick up most of the satellites.

      what would you say if you had a1.1m dish with this sat receiver box....you reckon it will power a technomate motor? cos i was thinkin about just putting this box in the bedroom and gettin a better one for the livingroom

        I'd rather pay a bit extra and get a Dreambox 500, Or some other Linux box same Spec as the DM500

          It does not mention in the spec. if it supports usals etc to manage a motorised set-up though most do.
          However, the drawback is the small dish if you want to check out other sats.
