How much Have you to spend, which Receiver, what size Dish & Motor to drive it. Most important can it be installed on a South Facing Wall.

read the top sticky mate and this guide for std Technomates it will help you set up for all available satellites (FTA) with a motorised dish.A std TM may not be the best box for you but you need to do a lot more reading for the Linux route.MY advice would be to get a cheap std technomate to learn the basics on.A lot of blokes jump in at the deep end with advanced boxes then have a great deal of trouble trying to set them up.you can get a new TM 5000 series for less than ?60 and they are one of the easiest boxes to motorise.second hand would be even cheaper.but no sat box is plug and play and will need work.
