i have a 90cm moterized dish and a new dm500s but i also have a tm5400 now with the tm i can get 16e but with the dm i can not get 16e the long and lat is set up the same but nothing can someone please help?

If you can get most other satellites along the ark its probably not your motors fault. 16 East is a hard satellite to receive. It had a blackout way back in January and it hasn't had the same power since. There is a new Eutelsat being launched in October I think for 16 east.

send your dish to 15.8east and fine tune (move the dish slightly)...i had a very similar problem, then 30west and 42 east just to make sure you dont lose everything else

I wouldnt say, no chance ive got a 500 and i got it but it is one of the lowest signals of all my sats and i did struggle to get a decent signal on it at first, I had a few sats that i couldnt get a lock on,so i got the best signal possible by moving the dish at the box and then just kept scanning and moving and scanning and moving and finally i got a signal ,In my opinion the dreambox is a temperamental little sod very much similar to my teenage son,it will do what you want it too but only after telling it 15 times .

as said 16E can be difficult and needs good alignment try sending the dish to it with the TM then adjust the dish elevation to get max signal then check your other sats are acceptable.

further thing you can try is the lnb focus I"ve found on my televes 1mt that the lnb needs to be right back in the holder(furthest away from the dish) but all dishes will vary so its worth experimenting.

Tuner wise many receiver's on market are cr*p.With satellite receiver's there is no standard on what's in them build wise.
