    Usb ports on sky

    anybody found a way to activate those USB ports in the boxes yet?

      can you not change the HDD for an after-market one and enable them that way..??

          with original HDD, the SATA and USB are disabled
          Replace the HDD with a new one then the USB and SATA become enabled surely..?

              don't worry it may be a firmware issue... It looks like they are locked out.. I just thought that if you replaced the internal factory fitted Hard Drive with an aftermarket one the blocks on the ports may be lifted, but the blocks may be firmware related.. it should charge your iPod though

              My new Sky HD box wont even do that but my old Sky+ box would, used to run the laptop cooler from it to cool my D500S
