    Is it possible to run a linux box using mobile broadband(dongle) plugged into a laptop?

        it means your laptop will be on each time you want to watch TV.

        BEst way if you want to use 3G internet is to buy one of these

        SOLWISE 3G MOBILE BROADBAND PORTABLE WIFI 11n ROUTER on eBay (end time 14-Oct-10 20:52:23 BST)

          My old man hasent got broadband, if he got the dongle and i set up a linux box for him would it make any odds regarding download caps and all that?

            Having asked the question and done a bit of research since, it would seem that you would need a min speed of 1mb
