Confused!!!

Having lost all cable a few months back i went back to my old sky dish and reciever for freeview. Having read many a thread, still confused on what to do, so I have some basic questions to ask.

1. Can i use my original Sky dish with a new box ie technomate, dreambox.
2. What channels would i get on the new box.
3. If i went for the motorised dish option what are the benifits.
4. this CS business do you have to subscribe?

4. yes and no. You can buy a card and share or sub to a pay server. This is not allowed to be discussed on DK sorry you need to google it for more info.

To start you off get youself a dm500 you can get one for arround ?50, and a 95cm motorised dish you can pick one up from fleebay for arround ?100.
But before you do it, have a good read through the sticky threads, and a lot of searching on the net. All your info is there mate.

Thanx 003. I have just realised that i have a dm600 which was for the cabel, so i have just picked up a sat tuner for it for 30 quid. next job then is to get a motorised dish i guess. What image should i use to test the dreambox as i still have the sky dish available to use, so maybe test it for freeview.
any ideas

Sorry but another question for you guys, My dreambox 600 was set up for cable, do i need to install a different image or will the one which is on work. Also do i need a sky card, if so where do i get one from??

I know nothing on the dm600 mate, but I think that will only give you FTA.

Once you install the sat tuner the image should reconfigure itself for the correct tuner.
