    info needed

Greetings all. I have the chance of GbSat receiver and motorized dish, for free . Now i will admit i know absolutely nothing about the sat scene. So first question is, is this receiver worth having. It has one card slot but two titanium cards are with it. Second question, will my infinity card reader work with these cards, and thirdly what sort of channels can i expect to get with this set up. Thanks for reading and for any information given

I dont know if your offered box is a single model or the box has variations such as say the Technomate 1000,1500 etc. but the model that showed up when i googled it is a pvr which can record tv and has the ability to edit or transfer music files etc.
I`d jump at the offer of the lot, especially the motorized dish.
If you can get a clear view from east to west from where you might site the dish then if you google lyngsat or flysat you will see the satellites available.
If the dish is 80cm or better still 1 meter then most of what is up there is availabe.
Look in the satellite section stickies for how to set up your motorized dish and dont hesitate to ask questions in the sat section if you have problems.
    Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply, i am pretty sure its a 1 metre dish and i was reading up about setting the dish and motor up yesterday. The chap who has offered me this bundle is on holiday now, so i will eagerly await his return

so true manxspud. If the box doesn't turn out to be very good, i can always use another receiver with the dish
