whats recomended for my situation?

hello everyone, as u can see im new to this site and actually starting to look into these freeview boxes and freesat and whatnot..(just remember you were once new to this yourself)

what are some tips so that i wont make a mistake in buying boxes or receivers(ebay) that are maybe not working or too old or anything related to that.

what is best to recommend?
i would wanna do HD but i dont care about recording
i have a dish satellite and a direct tv satellite on my roof
will there be any fees? ever? where can i have one shipped to me? i live in the U.S btw. thanks

you really need a american site which can give you more detailed info on the stb,s that are clearing bev ect. i think i read somewhere that the dm100 is available with connection to a s***** thrown in but i could be wrong. if your considering a bit of cs then get yourself a linux stb like the dm500s or dm800hd. regards mdt
