    Dish Help

Lewshanks m8, the 90cm fortec star dish ususlly comes with a pole mount as standard. The wall mount is just a wall plate with a vertical tube (pole) on it to fix the dish to. Post a picture of what you have & we'll try to help. Attached is a picture of a typical diseqc motor/dish arrangement.

thanks Hypersonic, my apologies indeed it does have the pole mount with it ,what i meant to say was the pole mount is to small for the arm on the technomate 2600 motor ,will up l;oad photo when i find camera ,i think the technomate arm is 2" and the opening i have on the bracket is 1 3/4 " if you get my drift

If i have your problem right, you should be able to get a couple of 2" U bolts at a hardware shop and swap them for the ones on your dish. Is it possible to force your own on? 1/8" on each leg should be easy enough to squeeze on.

can you get a 2" Ubolt to fit into A. on pic. and cut off B.

or leave B on for strength and take off 1/8" off inside diameter with a reamer or something similar.

Or if your new 2" pole has a wall diameter of 1/8" you could slot a foot of 1 3/4" into top of it and leave old bracket intact

Getting you on this Grizz 2" u bolt sounds good the reeming is probably a no goer as there is not much room for error however i could remove both A+B drill from the side and replace with the u bolts ......will get some 2" u bolts from the sat shop and have a good look at it ..........cheers Grizz
