A new Card the Zebra 2 Card claims to open Nagravision 3 & will be released and on sale from November the 10th.


Its clamed that it will open Sky Germany and TV Cabo initially and its sugested to open more Providers in the future.

The Down side of this News is the Hack has only been forund on the ROM 141 and ROM 181 Original Viewing Cards, The N3 system has be designed around interchangeable ROMs meaning if this Zebra 2 Card opens these Providers as it claims, Nagravision or the Providers will or can switch Roms thus closing this Loophole.

This Card will not work for Cable Users even though they might be using 141 and ROM 181 aswell.



Its something to watch out for over the coming weeks, but I would be very sceptical that first it will be released and secondly how long it will last for !


The last Zebra Card lasted for about a Year giving Mixed results in the early days of N2 untill Emulation took over.

Its the same question that can and has been asked for years regarding Receivers, Cams and Cards and its all because they come out of the box with noting relating to Piracy they come with Ordinary Firmware and software bundle, it up to you the end user who normaly put 2nd and 3rd party software onto these devices which then makes the device useful for pirated tv and such like.

with n3 they can update the revision of the card almost instantly if they need to so I wouldnt rush out to get this card

Sky Deutschland in ?2m piracy win

Sky Deutschland has been awarded ?2 million in damages after a case was brought against Belgian smart card pirates that exported unlicensed smart cards to Germany and Austria.

The First Instance Court of Tongeren sentenced two gang members to 18 and eight months in jail, a further two accused were given suspended sentences, while a third was acquitted.

Sky Deutschland, who as Premiere was pirated by the team between 2006 and 2008, will receive ?1,850,000 in compensation from the gang leader and his company. A further ?180,000 will be paid by his accomplice.

AEPOC, the European Association for the Protection of Encrypted Works and Services, which released details of the case on behalf of member Sky Deutschland said it was the first time that a severe prison sentence had combined with a realistic level of damages.

?Belgian law and enforcement has proven effective in such complex law suits as cross-border pay-TV piracy and industry crimes. In many other EU countries though we do not see such a satisfying functioning of the Conditional Access Directive and its implementation into national law,? said AEPOC President Philippe-Olivier Rousseau.

The gang had dealt in the supply of blank cards to enable viewing of the Premiere service. More than 5,700 cards were sold at an individual price of ?75. Combined with software updates obtainable over the internet it is possible that the cards could have been in use for several years.
