which is best box to share from ?

which is the best / easiest box to set up to share with using white sly card ?

i have a tm 500 super linux that im using to share to a dm500 v8 upstairs but i cant get the premium channels to work up stairs , and also the dm500 breaks up all the time

so would it be better to swap them aroumd and get the dm500 to read the card ?

i have heard its a lot easier to set up dreamboxes to share then technomates .

If your using CCAM 2.1.4 and a white Sly card with the TM500 Super as the server then that is the problem.

TM linux recievers TM500/600/Super have compatibility issues with CCAM 2.1.4 when reading white cards they will work fine as clients.

UR Team/TM have known about this issue for ages...probably nearly a year but havent fixed it...

Either use NewCS to read the card and then CCAM to share on the TM.

Or use the DM500 as the server. The DM500 will work flawlessly with CCAM 2.1.4.

Dreamboxes are probably the mopst widely used Linux recievers for CS, thats very untrue that they are glitchy with NDS. I have no issues using DM500/600/800HD recievers as client or server with NDS. Im sure many other people will agree.

If your using pay servers or C-Lines from oversuscribed servers or from 2 hops + away distance...then you'll get glitches on all makes of reciever...

Dm500 is the one for the job with a box key.

if you are intranet sharing, ie just over your network the glitching will be free..

Glitching on NDS is caused by people having too many clients..

The optimum share ring is about 7 people each with a different card to share.. thats why closed rings work so well..

if you are looking to receive a share unless your getting it at hop2 it'll be pretty poor

There is a massive misconception that NDS doesn't share well.. true it doesn't over mass shares, ie Payservers or servers with loads of clients, but on very small closed rings or internal over your LAN it works perfectly
