    Dish & wind

North west uk is very windy today,my advice is anyone with dish on a motor,is not to move it.Also if your dish is parked @ 5 east ish it's a good place to leave untill wind is not so strong.

i parked mine at 12.5west late last night. its a good place as the back of the house it very exposed and this puts the dish into a postion to take the least wind load. not much on there tho

i had to rellign my dish last wk as a gust of wind
had moved it. would this happen much over the winter time?

Hi mario,it's a west wind,so side of your dish needs to cut the wind.If the face of you dish is getting full hit with the wind, that's when a re-line might be needed.
(would this happen much over the winter time)
Last year was not to bad for wind, this year might not be as kind.

yeah the side is cutting though it still shakes a bit in the gusts tho
would be better if they made them with holes in them like the sky dishes

they was spot on with the wind that was strong stuff!! mine stood real firm so happy with that but is sheltered with the gutter and roof about it.my mate says he lost about 20% signal with his. so ladders out i think for a re-line

Mine has pointed at 19.2 for 10 years, moved it to 28 about a month ago, worked perfectly and never moved when it shouldn't.
