I have been having few problems with the reception in 16e and thought I would do scan to make sure all was fine. When trying to do the scan I couldn't find the sat in the list. I copied across a new satellite.xml file but still got the same. Why?

Copied your file to etc/tuxbox but I am still not seeing it in the scan list. I am begining to wonder if it has anything to do with the new Pli image I installed recently on the dm600. if i look at doing a manual scan I notice there is 15.8E & 17E so maybe thats my problem.

hmmmm very strange that mate to have those 2 listed but not 16E...

I think 16e is now at 15.8 but haven't been on it in a while.

Haven't 16E been having problems with the satellites recently? I think they had loss of signal a while back and the new satellite that was meant to launch into that position failed to deploy. My signal from there has been pretty rubbish for the last few months and thats using a 95cm dish on the south coast.

Gone back to Pli Jade 3 image and then checked again and it listed. I think it is similar to the problem I once had with 28.2E and 28.4E i.e if I go into Transponder Edit and edit the setting from 160 to 158 it probably fix the problem.

HELP WITH 16E

Hi guys i need sum help on 16 e iwas working fine about 3 months ago but since last month it gone all i get it motor tunrning to 16e??

i have a 90cm dish motorised in west yorkshire?
using dm600 with darkman image

how do i get to 15.8

I think that either your dish has moved slightly or the channels you are selecting on 16e are no longer being transmitted. Instead of selecting a channel go to 16e using your positioner manually & then select different transponders to see if you can get a signal. Then fine tune by moving the dish east & weat for the strongest signal quality, then save. If this works then you may need to fine tune all your sat positions again. If this does not work then it could mean the vertical alignment of the dish is out, however, this would affect the signal on nearly all your satellites.

All my other sat are fine it's jus 16e I'm after tring for sat football I dnt understand why? Is there a manually of searching for sat's on dm600?

i always had trouble with 16 east,mine are all on advanced ,cant seem to get usals,had to fine tune them and since i got a new lnb fitted yesterday,one channel went from 52% to 68 % as soon as i fitted it,havent even tweaked the lnb yet

You need to go to the Dreambox section of DK for advice on manual dish operation. I have a TM600 and manual operation of the dish is through the TM box menu ~ Have a browse through your DM manual, it should help you with this !

I might be wrong but I think what you will find is that 4.8E is 5.0E and 1w is .08W and 28.2 is 28.4E. I know there is an easier method then this but I can't quite remember after a few drinks. Try doing Setup > sat & transponders > Transponder edit > 28.e > ok > change 282 > 284 orvice versa. You could also try copying the file posted by Opsmonkey called satellite.xml to etc/tuxbox.
