viasat advice

stick with me guys!! with it looking like tring is going down for 3pm kick offs, i have this set up! an 80cm motorised dish, marned ds-200xci HD USB box and calypso modem in the north west of england. my question is can this pick up viasat if i purchase the rather expensive card!! any advice greatly appreciated xxx

I've heard people in Manchester who can receive 4.8 east with a 85cm but I am here in Ireland and cannot git a wiff of it with a 100cm dish. The best thing would be move your motor to 4.8 east ab=nd see if what the signal strength is on few of the Viasat transponders. The Premier League HD channel is this frequency if you want to check it out 12456-H-27500

the further north you are the easier it is for this satellite!

im in the north-west and lose some/high ber on a few of the nordic beam verticals in heavy rain. if you are seriously considering spending that kind of money on a official card then id say you will need a 1.2m andrews/gibertini for uninterupted viewing in anything other than extremely bad weather. regards mdt

I pick up the following channels with no problem in Liverpool with a Fracarro 85cm dish, I also set up a 80cm dish for a mate who also gets the Viasat channels , you might struggle with the HD channels
on the Nordic beam.

The following channels are on transponder 11747v and can be picked up without problem in all weathers here.

Viasat Football
PL Extra 1-7
Viasat Sport

The Viasat Xtra Premier League channels are far and away the best on satellite at the moment in my opinion..

couldnt agree more opsmonkey viasat sets the standard for others to beat

great quality. must admit ..canpick up in good weather with 1 meter in north east on p mount and acuator..the pl chanels.. but i would say 1.2 or bigger to be perfect.. its a lot of money for this pacage and tring has been very good if for the footie this season..

ps i dont have a offical card for via but still watch if you know what i mean
