    pcmcia sat card

    hi

    does anybody know if there is a pcmcia satellite reciever card that i could use in my laptop to line a dish up

    Unless Im gettin this wrong,then whoever installed the dish and your receiver should be doing this. i.e installer lined up the dish and receiver(via usals or motor control)move the dish.If youre goin on about something else then post back and please clarify.OK kid hope this helps-Maca.

      never seen a PCMCIA DVB-S card mate but there are plenty USB boxes..

      stick the following into google:

        thanks for the reply's done it using a usb tv stick to the tv out on the stb, just in the process of setting up my first system and thought it would be easier if i could see what the lnb was recieving on the laptop when i line the dish up. probably a potty idea

          no mate not a potty idea.. The guy who installed my set up used a FTA receiver with a 7" portable screen to check the dish was setup properly before running the coax through my wall
