usually it means the more money the better quality, just like scart leads although some are rediculosly expensive. you shouldnt have to pay more than ?20 imo for a very good quality hdmi lead, basically just shop around and make your choice. regards mdtDM800HDSE SIM 2.10. Unless it's a long cable run, i wouldn't waste your money, they wont improve PQ.
The ridiculously over priced HDMI cables are aimed at pretentious, anal retentive 'audiophiles' who have more money than sense....
If you really feel the need to 'upgrade', then as long as it's well made/good quality cable you dont need to spend a fortune

no, it carries a digital signal. for example 3d enabled hdmi 1.4 cost anything up to ?80. i bought an hdmi cable from sainsburys for a fiver and it works greatWavefield Ds 55cm at 13E 19E and 28E receiving everything out there on 2 dm800hd
