Which Box Is Best For Me???

I am looking to add a second box in my bedroom. I was thinking DM500S (not too fussed about HD in this 2nd box).

I already have a DM800S HD up and running on a motorised system.

I have 2 options with a satellite feed.
    1. Take a feed from my existing minidish.
    2. Add a dual LNB to my motorised. LNB 1 to DM800s to control where the dish point. LNB 2 to the new box.

I am restricted in gettng a network cable to the box without soem serious cable run. I already have a D-Link USB network stick I would like to use if possible.

The questions I need answered are:-

    1. Is the D Link stick compatable with DM500S? (does it have a USB port?)
    2. Second option I would guess is Homeplugs but would rather save the ?35 if I can.
    3. Recommend a receiver to suit my needs.
4.. Who are the current best UK based dealers for DM500S or any other box you guys may recommend? I used Linuxsat in the past.

    Cheers in advance.

imo youve already recommended a box in the dm500s. you will need homeplugs for your lan connection as the dm500s doesnt have a usb (unless somebody knows different) port and as for suppliers then take a look at the sat-shop/satfooldeals or ebay. you could probably get everything you need for around the ?100 mark. 15m cable/dm500s,v8/homeplugs and as for the feed id say use your mini-dish as its your bedroom after all although its up to you. regards mdt

      Cheers for the reply MDT.

I had a sneaky feeling the DM500 did not have a USB so homeplugs it is.

I already have a connection wired in from the mini dish so a box and homeplugs set up is all that's required.

Ebuyer are doing homeplugs 200mbs for ?34 for a pair which seems reasonable.

DM500S around ?60 delivered??? Is this price in the ball park and any recommended dealers in the UK?

Linuxsat was great with my DM800s and were spot on when the box ran into a problem. I seen another thread saying that backup promise no longer seems to be as good so would rather avoid now.
