    Adding more LNBs

    Hi
    I need an advice, I have 1 metrer fixed dish with 4 lnbs: 13e, 19e, 26e and 28e
I was thinking of changing it to motor but I don't like motor and found adding more lnbs is cheaper . Can I add 4 more lnbs? should I replace my diseq switch from 4 to 8 or get another 4 sats switch?
I am thinking of adding 16e, 23.5e, 1w and 30W can I do this with fixed dish?
Finally how will the box set to recieve 8 lnbs? I am looking at my TM600 and only options available are: 1, 2, 4 or many sats with rotor so how will I tell the box there are 8 sats?

    many thanks

Hi Adam. Itried something similar to what you are proposing by using two way diseqc from 2 lnbs into A or 1 on an 4 way switch a 2 way into 2 etc and though it was only a Technomate 1500 ci I didn't have any success but bought a cheap sat box on which to run 4 sats(least favourite sats) and another 4 way diseqc switch to take the feeds. What you are hoping to get on a 1 mt. dish is asking too much with such a wide selection. You will get 16 and 23 but the lnbs will be very close to the existing ones to focus them on those sats, to the best of my knowledge and you would probably get limited channels because of the cramping of lnbs.
Unless you are allowed another dish with a setting of say 28 26 23 19 on one and 16 13 maybe 9 or 5 east but 1w, I have found, is a rather tight beam so it maybe out of the question, then your best bet is motorized.
What I liked about the multi lnb set up was putting channels from different sats side by side.
There is, however a dish- is it waveform? not sure- that has multi lnbs facing a reflector from the main dish but you will have to look into this yourself.
Anyway, which ever way, best of luck.

Wavefield. That's the dish I was trying to think of.
