Spiderbox ?

I am looking for a receiver to use in my Spanish home, I am not interested in the "gift" as I don't have the internet there anyway!
I wanted a motorised system just for looking around but definately wanted to be able to pause tv and record via USB, and it has to be HD.
I have seen a lot about this box and wondered if it would be a good fta solution.
Please feel free to suggest other systems, but I am looking for good value over bells and whistles because at the moment we will only be spending about 8-10 weeks a year there and will just want to see some english stuff when we are on holiday.

It's a good option as can be patched for footy no need for internet. Record and pause live tv and play films from usb.

Thanks, I thought I was onto something.
I am surprised that I have not received any other suggestions!
I thought there would be at least a couple of alternative solutions, hopefully cheaper!
Unfortunately I do not have the time to research as much as I would like to at the moment.

I thought that too, but my nearest British neighbour who is 11km away only has a 1.2 metre dish.
I planned to use a fixed dish for Astra, and switch to the motorised dish for the other satellites.

Well he won't be getting anything off the Astra 28.2E bird with that size dish in Spain mate..

(Unless you're around the Zaragoza area.. South of this you need a big dish, south of Madrid you need a 3m)

You need a 3m for your fixed to watch Sky UK and either an official Sky box/card to attach it to or a Linux box with a share.. As for a motorised set up the only English channels broadcast FTA on 'foreign' satellite are Sky News and BBC World News

I am near Seron, so I decided to look up the dish size on the web.
According to Astra 2D Satellite Footprints for Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar
I need a 1.5 metre dish.
As I said I was looking at a FTA solution, although the patch mentioned by Manic01 looks interesting.
I speak some Spanish, French and German so I will be looking at some non English channels but my wife really wants the English channels.

Unless all the 3m dishes in Spain and Portugal have been bought by mistake
