    All the lights are on

Hi everyone. Had a power cut this a.m. that lasted for a split second. Tried the box in the bedroom, all the lights came on and on the TV, it said updating software and it could take 10 mins. It's been like this for hours now, so I was wondering if any one could help. I've tried unplugging it etc. but had no joy.
    Cheers. Daz.

      Sk box

Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply It's just an ordinary box, not HD or + box. When I got to the bedroom, all the 4 lights were on, solid with no flashing.

Sorry. We got the box in June along with an HD box for the lounge.

Just a thought but some boxes need the dish to be tuned to a specific satellite to receive over the air updates and,not knowing much about your particular box,it could be looking for just that.

Hi Pat. So is there a way of getting out of this without having to ring Sky.

                  Resolved

Hi guys. Got it sorted. I pressed the standby button on the box and the lights went off except for the amber one. I picked the remote up and pressed the standby button a few times and it came on. Anyway, thanks for the responses.

have a look at the back of your box, you should see a model number by the serial number
