Don't mean to hijack the thread but I want to ask if the VU Duo HD is good with motorized dish? I tried several receivers and found by far the TM5402HD is the best in terms of moving the motor and tuner sensitivity ( I can get more channels with more stable picture on difficult sats like 7w with the TM) but like to try something different so was thiniking of the VU Duo HD clone.

    Cheers

You will be very hard pushed to find a linux receiver that can match the tuner sensitivity of the TM5402HD, The Vu Duo cannot anyway the closest i have come is with the VU Uno when it had the FPGA upgrade done for the Tuner.

if you search hard enough the Uno Original can be had for around ?190 with single tuner

        Thanks for your guidance.

Is it worth the extra 100 notes for the VU Duo and is it easier to master/update etc... compared to the DM800HD SE?

          Thanks Digicon
The Uno Original being a linux box it will be pretty much same user interface like any Linux receiver like DM800HD ?

The Enigma2 Linux File structure is the same yes. Image wise they all differ slightly but the set up remains the same throughout

dont buy clones as they can struggle sometimes moving dish.
