howcan i get international tv channels ?

hi i was wondering how it was possable to get overseas premium channels
and what box and dish and software i would need
the channels of which im looking for are channels such as cannel + channels maybe supersports , star sports ect can anyone help or advise me?

you can always buy official cards from other countries, but some do cost you a arm and a leg. digital ab supersports on 16e is probably about the cheapest, you'd be better of buying a linux based reciever such as dreambox or TM9100 and join a card share.

right mate i take it you live in europe.. probably the UK..?

if this is true you wont get star sports or supersports za.. they are well below the eastern horizon in the UK.. you can only get satellites that are within your eastern horizon..

you will be able to get the following sports channels:

Canal+ Sports (France, Poland, Spain, Scandanavian)
ART Sports
JSC
NOVA Sports (Hellas)
NOVA Sports (Czech)
SKY Sports Italia
Digitalb Supersport

you would need a motorised dish to get all sport channels, or a multi LNB bracket..

For a receiver.. try any Linux receiver (Dreambox etc).. steer away from the IP Receivers (Maxx and HBS Innovative) because the server is always down and channels are lost frequently
