I did type in 1111 in accessory>network and opened the key edit which I assume is the secret menu. The ucas was on. the i went back to network and into Ethernet. Type is ON Connection Status connected. Then I went down to register which shows the keyboard enter sign, but after pressing OK nothing happened,l I had expected to have to enter something to register it.
    Regards.
latest patch is march 29th 2012 and is in the mandatory patches thread as mentioned in my earlier replies and you posted in that thread on 1st of may 2012 too !

latest softcam is currently dated 12 jun 2012 and is updated once or twice a week

if it says connected then its fine and has auto registered using your mac code off the spiderbox

Ps. It must have registered all right. On the motherboard is only the mac address.
The 2nd dns is empty whereas you said you have put google public address in there, what does this second dns do?
I dont know what the home stream server is or NewcamD server or the homeplus. Can I get anything from setting these up?
      Regards

the 2nd dns is not normally used, but some people including myself put the google public dns servers in the primary and secondary, you do as you wish (or not)

homestream is to stream from your pc or laptop

newcamd is to share a card with others external to your ip address (cs)

homeplus is to internally share your card to other spiderboxes over your local lan at your home or address

Thanks again, I had a problem with the 2nd of the two 9000hd patches, it wouldnt load and said failure. I then downloaded the 1st one and that loaded ok.
My problem I overlooked the save your channels so I had to do a reseach but unfortunatly the 28.5 sat is not in the list.
Last time I used one of the free sat ?laces and entered the frequencies and did a successfull search which brought in all the 28.2 channels.
I do not know where I got the frequencies, tranponder rate etc and have searched most of the day as I am not getting any quality signal.
Can you help and give me the settings, I have tried 11778v27500 which I found on anyother stb but that doesnt work.

no you cannot use a 9000 patch on a 7000 and you wouldnt gain anything even if it were possible !

I certainly cannot give you settings for your box or location, but would advise you to use one of the recent channel lists posted on here

if necessary I would use the repair tool and file , then factory reset and use the latest patch, then add the channel list and softcam, and finally set it to your location and dish requirements at your location

Thanks again, I am back in buisness with my lost channel and in future I mkust follow the instructions carwfully.
Now I am coming to the climax, my 2mt x 1.85 dish funderment is complete and now I need an actuator.
I have seen a Jaeger standard actuator RG/TD18", the question is will my Spiderbox control this alone as it needs a 24/36v supply or do I have to buy a Vee box II actuator control box as this electronics firm in Austria recomends as he does know or hasnt heard of spiderbox stb's.
                  Regards.

you will need a vbox to change the diseqc of a satellite box to the required 36v to drive an actuator

no drivers required, but it actually needs reflashing using the repair files and repair loader

use a null modem cable and a pc running xp (a pc that contains a standard com port embedded on the motherboard) and use the loader tool and repair file

and no, there is no other method of doing it, just the correct one using the correct tools like you have been told on other forums

all the details and files are in post #40

Now I had been thinking getting a big dish organised would be a piece of cake. I am now told I must have a polar mount, at the moment I hope to get 3 sats. Astra1,Astra 1N 28.2E and Thor5/6 0.8W. Although all 3 have an offset angle of 20.36?. All 3 have a slightly different declination angle. I see they are all at differant heights. I wanted to send a pic of my support which just rotate around the horizontal axis.
Is there somewhere that I can get a picture of a polar mount that maybe I cant alter mine to rotate as required.
I thought it would be just like swinging one side or the other.
ANY POINTERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED: Thanks

PS. I am not 100% certain what my dish's offset angle is. I have tried to work it out usind a straight edge from top to bottom of the rim on the front side and then using a piece of wood from underneath the bottom rim resting in the feedhorn. This I calculated as 24?. My dish is a Northern Satelite Corp NSC 18-1 and I cant find any details of offset etc.

if your polar mount is set correctly it will pick up the arc and you will get all the satellites you can see, never mind just the 3 you want

all motorised dish mounts are like this and its an arc due to the curvature of the earth, so yes they are at different heights

you use a vbox2 between the spiderbox and the superjack motor that drives the dish on the polar mount

the polar mount will be set to zero at true south and that is its maximum height with lowewr values on either side and set to track the arc of the satellites in the clarke belt

so as long as the polar mount and dish are set correctly when installed, it will pick up the satellites that are available to you

I have a Mvision 300 CN,, but its alternative suporrt has closed, Gmax. I've looking for another supoort or firmware. Recently I have read about a clone of the Mvision 300, the Spiderbox 700. Also I hace a Mvision 200 Combo, its clone is the Xcruiser 350.
