Panasonic TV CI Slot - using Diablo Wifi card as cam

I was wondering if it's possible to use a Diablo wifi card with CCcam setup to use on a Panasonic Plasma TV CI slot which also has DVB-S Tuner built in. I've scanned the Astra 28e and get all channels but pay channels obviously encrypted.

In theory is it possible to decrypt these channels using a disablo wifi card with cccam?

would there possibly any other way of decrypting the channels using the CI slot and not using using a STB?

redondo5 I have a similar setup to yourself with the Panasonic Viera Freesat. I have only had it a few weeks but have done a full scan and have lots of free as well as encrypted channels. Not sure what kit I need to buy, the Diablo looks like the best. Can you let me know if you have any problems with it and any tips on getting it all working with he Viera. Thanks kjdspike

dont think you will open the sly channels with any card as they use the best encryption known,encase thats what your hoping ,nice to be proven wrong if you find something.

I got the Diablo Wifi card to work.... and it clears everything (all 28.2e channs on server) using cccam.

One problem I found was that the HD channels have many artefacts and glitchy. Now I made sure the problem was not the server or the wifi internet.... it turns out the problem is related to the Panasonic Firmware. As soon as a card is put in the CI slot the problems start happening. I iknow as I tried many configurations, even BBC HD is fine but as soon as a card goes into the CI slot it starts having artefacts and the picture becomes unstable.

Standard Definition channels work great. It would be an ideal setup if HD worked without those problems mentioned above, especially for those who don't want a seperate sat receiver and want to use CCcam wirelessly.

Also, a note - to use the Diablo Wifi you need a Cas3 programmer. The card should cost ?70-80 and the cas3 programmmer about ?20. It's only worth it if you are seriously opposed to having a box or you must use a wireless connection.


Other TVs may have more success with the card especially on HD channels.

Have anybody got it working without problems? If no, what are good alternatives?

Hi there all. Ive just read the posts above and was looking a bit of info. I have a motorised sat system on a technomate 5300 and get bulsat and whatever else by softcam updates but im interested in whats posted here. I have a panasonic plasma with card slot. So would i just have to purchase a diablo card and programmer and update this and insert it in my tv??? and if so what channels would i be able to open??? Any help greatly appreciated even a link to click on for any information as regards to this. Many thanks.

another question on diablo cam

will the diablo cam decrypt the french national tv channels which seem to be crypted in viacess with a second layer of encryption, and will it work in a panasonic tv model txl32d 25ba in the common interface slot
panasonic seem incapable of supplying an answer or they dont want to, and i can only see the free to air french tv channels by sattelite where i live in france because of terrestrial reception problems i can register all the french chains on the in built reciever but of course cant watch them as they are encrypted. the makers of the diablo cam also seem incapable of giving an answer and other so called experts tell me the common interface slot is only for terrestrial signals so if anyone knows if it or any other cam will work in the panasonic tv to decrypt tnt sat transmissions please could you tell me cos its driving me crazy
