    Sky+ wont recognise new card

Sky + wont recognise new card
Hi can anyone help me. Just taken out Sky multi room subscription but 2nd box (Thomson Sky +) won't play ball. Had signal sent twice and a replacement card but box still wont recognise new card. System menu still reads my old sky card. Tried all the self fixes recommended (secret menu and right/left navigation buttons etc) but still not reading. Can get freeview channels ok but not subscribed channels (used it as a freview box for a while). Is there a way that I can wipe the box/reset factory settings or should I purchase a new one?

Maybe the same problem that I had when I replaced my old sly box with a sly+ box.... when you called sly to pair the card with the box did you actually tell them that the box you were using it with was a sly+ box? I didn't until I called them for the 3rd time and within minutes they'd sent the codes to the plus box and enabled all functions.

Phone them again and make it clear that the box you are pairing it with is a sly+ box which they'll ask the serial and firmware version of again and pair it quite quickly.

Thanks but I did tell them (the 1st time anyway) that it was a sky + box and they took the software no. but no joy. I will ring them again to make sure.

I don't know about the cables/feeder?? We have been using the box as a freeview since having HD installed. Would I still receive freeview channels if the 2nd cable was not connected - I don't know.

The card is in the only slot there is on the box and it is in the right way.
