Is there any way we can use the Hard drive when subscription runs out?

I have a sky plus box and wanted to know if any one knows how to make full use of my sky plus box.

Sky subscription ran out now the box is mine.
But they say i need to pay a tenner a month or so to use the 80 gb hard drive and set recording on it and use the pause rewind etc.

Is there any thing i can do to make this work without having to pay sky again?

no. you can however take the hdd out and reuse it

Paying ?10 a month to watch and record the FTA channels is your only option, you could however buy another receiver that has a PVR function.
