Will a Sagem Dbox 2 satellite reciever still work

Hello Everybody



I am having a 1m motorised dish setup this weekend on a none penatrating roof pole, weather permiting, I have been given a sagem dbox2 from my brother in law, he said it use to work fine but he has not used it in a year and he said to find a forum and ask for the latest images and any other bits of software I may need, so here I am, I am very competent with computers and I have already managed to download, a copy of dbox 2 image flashing assistant and the full beginners guide, I realise that I will have to do a load of reading on other issues which are not allowed on here.

Q. do these boxes still work?
Q. can anyone sudgest a good image and any other bits I may need?
Q. will my motorised dish work with this, it is a new Dark motor. 1.1 1.2?

yes it will work, images/ check dl section they dont have much support now

Are these dbox2 boxes (sagem) able to do things like a dreambox? I mean, if I get the right image and flash it, and had a c-line, it will work with it?

it would probably work but no support any more, so if you were buying one its probably better to buy a dreambox or something newer with better support

if it was free then have a mess with it, but dont put any cash into it
