Blade BM7000S Networking Problems

Dear Forum,

If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to connect my blade bm7000s box to the internet however to cut a long story short I can't use a switch or anything like that and as a result I need to share the connection from my pc to my blade box, however whenever I try the computer reckons it can only send packets and isn't recieving anything back. Anybody know how to set this up? I've tried contacting blade themselves and nothing. I've used patch cables, crossover cables and everything. No luck =(

Any help would be greatly appreciated =D

hi sounds like you only have a modem if its a broardband modem you need a broarband router modem your provider should be able to offer you an upgrade they are not very expensive to buy anyway

Hi thanks for the quick reply, it's not the case it's actually me trying to use mobile broadband through my laptop which is USB so I need to get it through the computer to become an ethernet connection for the box. I've looked into all the other options I'm just trying to set up the internet connection sharing, any help?

Thanks again for that, looks like that'll sort me for home, my only other thing is I wanna use it in a caravan too and i'm very strapped for plugs etc in there so i wanted to use my laptop to bridge the connection there so do you happen to know of anyways to get internet connection sharing working on these boxes? You've been a great help anyways if not =)

sorry dont know how to bridge using a laptop the Zoom Wireless-N Desktop Router for 3G USB Modems take it to your caravan if your laptop is wifi enabled you wont need to connect to the router via ethernet cable just connect your blade via ethernet to the router that will do it.Also if your signal is low on the dongle use a usb extension to get a better signal dont know ant other way to do it

I use the zoom wireless n router with my blade and it works perfect.
