Tring + Card help TM 5400 cl+ usb super

hi all ive recently purchased a tring + card off fleabay and inserted it into my conax embbeded tm5400 cl+usb super ,the card shows has conax under card reader. since yesterday i have rang the seller and he said he has refreshed the card, the card was refreshed twice yesterday with still no joy.all i get is sound but a no access box on the screen. i left it on all night ,came down this morning still saying no access ,ive rang technomate and have installed the latest firmwre he told me too which was 1.41p. the card is still saying no access ,im at a loss with all this .also under subcription status it says the following.

i have a tm 5400ci+, i had a problem with my al jazeera card last year when i got it it would not update in my box had to return it to supplier and they updated it in a different box, so try a different box if you can, also you say you have sound but no picture this might be to do with the channels being mpeg4 HD quite often when you tune HD channels into and SD box you get sound but no picture, if you have a cam try the card in a cam inserted into your box.

Not HD so rule that out.
Card really needs to be in a conax cam to get updates.
Make sure you are on Tring sport news, get your supplier to resend signal.

I don't think the sound is encrypted on the Tring channels anyway.

I know this sounds simple but have you turned the box off and on again since the refresh.

yes ive reset the box no end of times ,put the card in and out a few times just not sure what to do ,might send the card back been waiting since yesterday .

Whats the latest on your card has it updated yet or did you send it back?
I have a different problem and one thats driving me mad. Updated a card yesterday with no problem now reads 1/8-2011 to 31/8/2011 on subscription status of card reader. Only problem is its just Tring Super thats remains clear. If I try any of the other channels in the Tring package it clears for about 5 seconds and the freezes I then have to back to Tring Super again then try another channel and the same thing happens again. Its just like the card deactivates on any channel other than Tring Super.
If any member has a ideas why this might be happening would be grateful for their thoughts. Have tried it so far in a Technomate 5402HD, Spiderbox 700HD and technomate 9100 mgcam+ newcs1.65 all with the same thing happening so I dont think its a hardware issue.

Appreciate your reply. Have you had experience before of this kind of problem in receivers as last year I know for a fact that Tring card both worked and upgraded monthly ok in Technomate 5400 super.
But at this moment I havnt got a 5400 super available for testing. Got a lot of cams available but none are dedicated conax cams. The nearest Ive got is a dual cam which does irdeto and conax 4e and it doesnt work in that. Niether does it work in dragon multicam.
Has anybody had any experience of the problems I described being corrected by using a dedicated conax 5 type cam like the Smit??

Tring sport News is FTA and only is encrypt when a game is on it so if card is in a Conax Cam will it still get update on Tring sport News since its running FTA ??

or does another Tring Channel need to be selected instead ??
