    wind shift

If you have lost sats on your motorised dish lately due to the very high winds check that the dish is still 100% central on the motor spigot before re-aligning the motor/dish assembly on the mounting pole as this may have shifted as well, one of mine did and would no longer track the arc even though pole 100% upright.(its all in the shed now waiting re assembly)

      up & running

all back and covering all sats between 42E & 30W.I"v now drilled through the dish mount into the motor spigot tapped it and put a 6mm bolt in it wont move again.

yeah well worth it if it moves again at least you know its on the pole.and thats easy to adjust but it was impossible to recentralise the dish accurately while it was mounted.

well due to high winds lately im supurised my dish even stayed up,it took some battering , the motorised dish was installed by pros but thought id have a look myself and try fix, i tried moving dish with my hands to get signal on 28.2e which iv managed but can only get 64 snr, cant get anything over that, wondering now is the dish not 100percent straight on the motor, must have a look again tonight

havent realy got a clue about angles etc , i was tilting the dish up and down but still no joy, there is 4 screws on back of dish connected to motor(i think ) i unloosened the bottom 2 a little which then let me move the dish up and down etc which then i was only able to hit 64snr, wondering is it i must lossen 2 top screws also then try all angles, this prob dosent make much sense what iv wrote here as i dont really no either

yes mate tried that also with still no luck, might just take dish off and use sat metre on dm800s or the one i bought and find best signal, which i think shoud work, hopefully

yeah when i had mine done by pro he started all over and took dish motor and checked the pole ( a bit overboard) however where i was getting about %0% on 4.8e i now get 85% so cant complain, 13e and 19.2e are 100% so just goes to show that with the right kit and knowledge anything can be acheieved
