eutelsat 16e problems

has anybody been having problems on this sat as i have been reading up on this they say it is an unstable satellite i have been unable to pick up tring for about 3 days now i live in the north east of england i thought it was due to the cloud cover we were having up here is anyone else having problems i have a m using a tring card.

fine here down south mate all ur other sats ok? im using an official tring card so can only comment on that

yes all other sats ok watching hotbird 13e al jazeera just the eutelsat 16e is there anywhere else you can use the tring card

yes i have official tring card it doesnt run out till aug i am getting my music free to air on 16e confused as hell now

card need updating ? if ur geting music somethings wrong somewhere has to be the card iwould suggest mate

it says on screen no signal or bad signal anyway how would you update card any advice would be grateful

have u tried a different boquet mate? im just thinking about all the options first

cheers for your help it must be the card needs updating as i have 4 boxes in the house and the same on them all i think the problem has arisen somehow due to a smartcard reader as i have 1 tring card in the usb and 3 readers in the other boxes cheers.

yeah thats the only thing i can think of mate give them a ring to see if u have to update i was told u leave them on tring sports news and they auto update maybe thats not true tho mine has never updated to my knowledge

can you get "vizion plus"ok on 11.283H 27500 its FTA on the tring transponder and should be fine,if not your dish may need re-aligning or you may be able to get a better signal by the stb.

cheers dick iwas picking other tv channels on 16e but not vision plus seen when i went from hotbird 13e to 16e tring went on then it went climbed on roof tweaked the dish all my sport is back cheers mate very helpful

glad your sorted mate.if the screen says no signal and you know the TP is active its usually the dish is out.if its a card prob it will show scrambled but you will still get a good signal.
