    Advice Needed.... More :)

    Hi All,
I was given some great advice the other week about installing my own satellite setup. Anyway, im looking now to order a dish pack and a Spiderbox. Basically I was wondering if anyone knows the most reliable / best priced place online to get this? Also will I need to order anything extra to lock onto the satellite?

I was thinking of just going for a 65cm Dish and recieving Hotbird.

was planning on going static mate? my house is so wierdly positioned to go anything past 28.2 and the dish would be hitting the wall, so im thinking with a bigger dish I wouldnt even be able to get there. Plus i think it may be even harder to setup? This is going to my first attempt at a satellite installation. Ok thats great, can you post a link or is that against forum rules?

no cant post a link mate ........... personal opinion is i would get a pro to look at an installation mate and see what he recommends without seeing ur place i cant really comment but i can tell u i cut corners to start with in my setup and 3 months later had to come and get someone to do it properly

by all means have a static if thats what u want mate as in the end its your choice maybe consider s dual lnb to get 13e and19.2e mate

        oh and check ur pm

        regards

just a quick one mate the monoblock will work best with an 80cm dish.and you could also consider using 3 seperate lnbs with a diseqc switch to get 13E,16E and 19E.(16E has a lot of good channels on it)
regarding a motor there is not much past 28.2E in an easterly direction thats of much use only 39E and that sounds out of the question.but there is a lot the other way of use apart from the above all the way to 30West.you can get a mount with a larger stand off so dont discount a motorised setup til your sure its a no no.

13 and 16E with separate LNB's will require very slim LNB's due to the closeness in degrees

it can be done though.. check out this mad setup

HeHe.....surely there must be mirrors and primsms involved here, there must be room under the rack for another couple. The sat shop guy must have rubbed his hands together when this enquirery came in.

I like the chains holding it all up.
Inverto do a proper multiconnect system which looks the biz.

On the subject of monoblocks, I always found them to be difficult to set right to bring in both sats and preferred the separate lnb's and got good returns from 19 16 and 13e with 3 single lnbs on an 80cm dish.
But, as a hobby, its always been trial and error and of course expence. Let job satisfaction be your driving force- there's nothing like doing it yourself.
