no they wont, to have 2 boxes from sky you will need a landline and have both boxes connected to that same line

As Ansem says you need an active phoneline and all boxes must be connected to it for multi-room...

it may be in the contract but my box hasn't been connected for 10 months and they haven't issued anything..

the engineer when he first came to my old house didn't have enough cable to run off to my telephone socket..

since then I've moved, I've also told Sky that I have moved, box still not connected to the phone line (Sky HD+ Box)

was talking to sky today about multiroom, was told that the only way i could have multiroom was to have both boxes connected to a landline that is listed. if your number is not listed they wont connect you. the reason for this is, that you could give the new box and card to someone else and the would never know that the box has left the premises. otherwise its a full subscription

Sky Multiroom, both boxes must be connected to a phone line for the whole time you have it. The 12 month is only applicable when you have 1 box and the one off payment is only allowed when you have one box.

Failing to have other other boxes connected will result in a full sub being paid on the MR sub.

It happened to my parents. Sky sent out a 3rd party installer and the clown ran a extension to activate then removed it.

So 2 months after this sky decided to hike the sub up to a full sub. For some reason my parents never noticed this but finally after 10 months just b4 end of the contract they did.

Sky were not going to pay it back but after some phone calls and threats to them, as they did not follow the proper warnings before billing, I managed to get it backdated.

Ended up a nice wee saving scheme for them
