what other sat can I pick up with a sly dish

managed to get a sly dish/lnb from neighbour (before some local thief nicks it from neighbours garden).. what other sat can I pick up with the sly dish ...

Aim at 13e or 19.2e and maybe 39e.

if its a zone 1 45cm dish I"d forget it.if its a zone 2 19E is probably your best bet and 13E. to be honest I"v never tried to get european sat with less than 80 cm and that will bring all the major ones in ok,as you have it you can try it with nothing to lose and let us know what you can get but dont hold your breath.

thanks.. did a quick look on dish pointer for the sats mentioned and all seems to be good for me .. I am in West Yorkshire (Dewsbury) .. will give it a go this weekend ...

out of curosity which one of the sats mentioned (45e, 5w, 13e, 19.2e, 39e) can I get 3pm Premisership games.

Those stats look dodgy, 0.8w on a sky zone 1 dish.

according to dishpointer.com when I entered my post code it gave a list of all satellites what what I can get with what size, and from that 0.8W beam INT10023 53, I can get with a 50cm dish

another point I need clarification on

the second Sly dish I have was locked to 28.2E when on the wall, in order to point it to 39E - will I need to adjust the dish itself .. move it up or down, left or right

also any plugins on the DM500 I can use when setting the disj up so it will tell me when I get a lock on a satellite or will I use the signal strength as a method to see I am getting the strongest signal

from behind the dish you need to move it to the left and slightly down. if you dont have a proper meter then install a channel list with dbedit for 39e and then select a fta channel and turn the volume up very loud. when you here music/voices booming out check your sq readings. i really think you are wasting your time as bulsat are dropping ir2 anytime now so the 3pm games wont be available via softcam much longer anyway. get yourself a gibby/triax dish and a motor for around ?100 and then google cs. good luck anyway!, regards mdt
