Not knowing what your present lnb is and as it has given good service, why not take it off and bring it with you when you go to buy.
Also, take a pic on your camera/phone of the lnb before you remove it so as you can set the new one back with the same skew (skew is the degree to which the lnb is placed in the holder- not always straight at 12 o clock but slightly more to 1 o clock)

What you are asking is impossible to answer. For instance, if I put up a newer aerial ,will I get a better picture? If someone told you, you need another LNB, did you not ask why?

Digital signals do not work like that. It is either getting a signal that your decoder will decode or it isn't, sharpness of the picture will not change no matter what LNB you have.

If it works then leave it alone. You possibly need a new LNB when the picture starts breaking up on some channels or some channels that used to work now have a black screen.
