Protek 9760 USB Problem

Hi all,

I just bought a Protek 9760 HD from germany.
Loader v 3.03. Firmware v 2.01.0111

I have been trying to update the box via USB to the latest from BorisT.
It's not picking up the USB sticks.
I have tried 4 of them.
On 3 of them i'm getting "File access error, Check USB stick" also if I press the USB on the remote control it says "no disc found".

The 4th stick is found but says "Empty" even though I have the proper file on it.
The file is extracted and in the root directory.
I have also tried different firmware version from v1.12 up to v1.6
The sticks are all fat32 and work fine on my PC.

Can this box be updated by FTP?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi baught the same reciver about a week ago had just the same problem as you it drove me mad for four hours .I contacted southern satellite who had supplied the reciver they where verry helpfull saying try diferant usb memmery sticks .ALL memmery sticks where fat32 as you say only ONE out of five that I had worked no sense at all so just use all the USB sticks you have and hope you can find ONE the reciver likes ----bigman. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
