I have one, I bought it from a site that included a 12 month subscription (not sure I can post the link here). I have 2 portals set up on it (2 subscribed services), the box only allows 2 portal addresses at once. There is nothing to stop me subscribing to another and just swapping server addresses around but I can't be bothered with that and the 2 services I have are enough to cover what I want (football, films, filth).

The box was ?120 + a 15.81 customs charge. It's posted direct from the manufacturer in New York and includes a 12 month sub to the service, it took approximately 2 weeks to get to me.
This service has a channel line up which is quite diverse, it has UK, French, German, Italian, Arabic (JSC 13e sub), Turkish, Russian + 10 filth channels, well 9 unless you are bi and then you might enjoy the last one . This is ?60 a year or if bought with the box it works out to be around ?40.

The other service I'm testing has JSC 1-10 and JSC HD 1-6 and costs ?25 a month but have just found a the same chanel line up + sky uk for ?20 a month so will give that a go once this sub runs out.

The channels are very good quality if they are transmit in HD but sometimes the bitrate can drop and it's obvious you're watching a stream (it may get a bit blocky now and again). The SD channels are still good quality, better than most free streams I've ever come across but obviously not as good as the HD ones.

From what I can gather (as I saw a sat receiver epg pop up when watching one channel) the source of these channels is card sharing so when I've had what looks like the stream not being fast enough it could be an ecm not reaching the sat box fast enough and therefore glitching because it couldn't decrypt.

If you can get a test account of one of the providers there is an android app call IPTV STB emulator which will allow you to browse the portal and stream the channels (just make up the last 6 digets of the MAC address). I wouldn't recommend using this if you have your Mag 250 set up with the same account details as the providers tie your subscription to the MAC address of your box, when you connect with the emulator it uses the same mac as the box, if they are both switched on at the same time then the provider will ban the account due to 2 identical MACs connecting, something I found out when having a play, luckily I got my account unbanned.

Btw not sure what section this is supposed to be in but a mag aren't satellite boxes, nor are they Ab-Com IPbox's. Maybe a mod can move to a more suitable forum.

Hopefully that'll give you an insight as to what these boxes can do. I live in a flat so a 2m dish pointing at 7w is off the cards and the normal online streams just don't cut it in terms of quality or ease of use.

Thanks for the great reply. I was beginning to give up hope on a reply. Apologises for placing in the Sat forum, I really didn't know what category they would fall under.

Anyway, I was alerted to these boxes by a lad at work. He has just got one of these from a member of another very well known forum. He paid ?70 for box and a 6 month sub. These boxes are showing up on fleebay as well I have noticed.

I have a skybox f5 so get my other Tv channels via different means. The only reason that I was considering one of these boxes was for the football. So if your testing JSC then that's exactly what im after!

I too have found a UK based gift provider. Maybe we could PM and swop links?

The one that I have found only does 12 month subs so I didn't want to fork out without doing some research first.

The site is doing JSC only for ?140 a year with ?100 for the box, he also does sly and JSC for ?180 a year. Channel list is good also.

Not sure what you mean by that, all the channels they advertise are. It's not a sky replacement, it's certainly not wife friendly

I only really got it for Al Jazeera and that side of things is bang on.
