Astro sport...?

hi there, i was in a local pub yesterday and one of the regulars brought in a box and we watched the liverpool match on astro sport, i think it was one of them android boxes, how would i go about setting this up for myself at home, do i need to flash the box or how does it work, any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated, what box what apps etc etc, thanks in adance....OZ

thanks digicon for your reply, how would i set this up at home, what android box, what apps would i need to install or do they come pre loaded, ive done a bit of googling but drawing a bit of a blank with what apps id need for certain streams.

basically anything that will allow you to access an IPTV stream either an Android box with XBMC loaded or something with Plex or an enigma2 receiver with an IPTV stream player
