Have a friend who is looking at getting one of these receivers as he has an 800 for sat he would like to get a different receiver for cable , what i need to know is can this receiver link to a share of newcamd set for cable also is there anyone that is using it on the cable network if so what do they think of it and were is the best place to buy from

i have 9000hd box working with S2 and cable tuner both working.
the hardware on these box is good but the software is still in early stages.
they have go some limited capabilty do cs.
at present the E2 is out againg in early stages.
they have couple teams working on the third part software but its usually the modified orignal image.
