what controls are new?

I keep seeing adverts for new controls for the open box, some say v2 some say v3. is there different controls out and has anyone got pics of all the controls or show me what the latest ones look like.

Also why were the controls replaced, was there a problem with the older controls or did they just improve the look/feel of them?

The first control which I have is a pile of sh1te. The buttons are pure stiff, you have to be right in front of the box to get it working. The second and third ones were a big improvement.
