    openbox keeps rebooting

    hey guys
every now and then my openbox decides to reboot itself when i try to change channels!

i've only had this a week and have had to flash the box to actually make it work. it has done this twice now. i have uploaded the new firmware CHDS2_CMT_110404047A the day i got it, could this be the problem!?!?

has anybody else have this issue or am i just being !!
any help would be much appreciated!

Any chance you could let the rest of us in on the solution ??

There was a problem where certain channels caused the box to reboot, but I thought the newer firmware removed this problem ?

i've updated the firmware to NM_HDS2_CMT_1101030405. i've read in another post that this should sort the problem out and some of the channels maybe causing this problem, so hopefully this should sort it self out. i'll soon find out and will let u know!!

Thanks for that, I recently had the problem myself and what I did to solve it was hold down the -channel (channel down) button on the front of the box while the box was rebooting.
It then started up on a channel 5 or 6 lower than the one that was causing me the problem, so I was then able to delete that channel.

There is or was a problem with this and the HDTV S2 800(which is an openbox s9 clone),, the problem was caused by the SD sky sports channels, deleting these cured the problem, obviously a temp work around at moment but i do know a new firmware for the HDTV has recently this month been released,
If the box reboots, to stop it and remove offending channels (sd sky sports) remove LNB cable, remove channels, then reconnect and reboot

It was actually Sky News that caused my problem, but it is deleted now (sky hd is fine!!).

As Sg8 said, i used to just keep pushing up on the pad in the middle of the remote when the box was coming back on from a reboot, then enter into channel list and delete the problem channel
